#104 ASPHALT CONCRETE PRIMER

• Solvent-Based, Low VOC Penetrating and Bonding Sealer
• Primes Most Surfaces Prior to Application of Cold Applied or Hot Mopped Asphalt Coatings, Roof Cements, and Adhesives

Surface must be clean and dry, free of moisture both on and beneath the surface. Scrape off gravel to provide a smooth surface. Sweep roof thoroughly to remove as much dust, dirt, and debris aspossible. Use wire brush to remove rust and scale from metal.

Apply a thin, single coat of #104 over the entire surface with a roller or heavy-duty spray equipment. Brush out any excess immediately after application. Avoid over-application and build-up of surface film. Allow to dry thoroughly before applying adhesives or coatings. Store primer in a warm room overnight before using in cold weather. Drying time varies with weather conditions.

Proper application will cover approximately 100 square feet per gallon, depending on surface porosity

Clean tools with mineral spirits or paint thinner.

DO NOT ALLOW TO FREEZE. DO NOT THIN. DO NOT HEAT container store at temperatures greater than 120°F. Be sure the lid is tight and the pail is secured when transporting this product. Do not allow pail to tumble as this may loosen the lid and allow leakage or spillage to occur. DO NOT USE with solvent sensitive insulation, wood shingles or wood flashings. This primer is not recommended over PVC sheet roofing, rubber, shingles of any kind, or old roofs that are too dry and brittle.
